Who provides your Breakdown Cover?
Our Breakdown Cover is provided by Call Assist. Their average response time is 40 minutes and 77% of cars are repaired at the roadside. They take just over 4 seconds on average to answer calls and you can take peace of mind knowing that lone female drivers and families are given priority. I think I have cover with my bank
If your bank only provides basic cover this will limit the type of assistance they can deal with. For example, offering roadside assistance only. Our range of Breakdown Cover options gives you a wider choice and more flexibility.
My car is new so I should be OK without Breakdown Cover
Although it may be more reliable than an older car, a new car is not always breakdown proof. For example, a high proportion of breakdowns are due to a flat battery which is included in our Breakdown Cover.
Taking out Breakdown Cover
Just select the level of Breakdown Cover you require from the ‘Optional Extras’ options when you buy your insurance online or tell one of our advisors when you purchase over the phone.

Don’t worry, you can take our Breakdown Cover at any time during the year by calling us on 0333 043 2066. We’ll only charge a proportional cost to include the cover until your renewal.
