As an add-on to your 1ST CENTRAL car insurance, Excess Protect Cover ensures you’ll get your excess refunded when you make a claim resulting from the likes of fire, theft or an accident that wasn’t your fault.
Key features of Excess Protect Cover
When can my excess be refunded?
When you make a claim within 6 months resulting from fire, theft, flood, vandalism, an accident that wasn’t your fault, an accident that was partly your fault or an accident where you were unable to recover your excess from a liable third party.
Multiple claims
With Excess Protect Cover, you can make multiple claims up to the value of cover you choose, and you can choose to protect your excess for up to £1,000.
When can I take out this cover?
You can only purchase Excess Protect when you first take out or renew your policy with 1ST CENTRAL. Just select the level of Excess Protect Cover you require when you purchase online or over the phone.

Upon renewal, select the level of Excess Protect Cover you require on the quote page when you buy your insurance online, or tell one of our agents that you’d like this cover if you purchase over the phone.
