What do I need to make a claim?

We know that making a claim can be stressful, that's why we want to make things as simple as possible.

Make sure you've got the following at hand when reporting your claim:

  • Your policy number as you'll need this to log your claim
  • Photos of the damage, or photos of the lost or stolen items if you have them
  • Any relevant receipts, invoice or quotes, which will help with your claim

How long will my claim take?

It's difficult to put a timescale on how long your claim will take, as some claims may be more straightforward than others.

We have a national network of approved specialists and suppliers, who we may appoint to inspect damage or replace goods on our behalf.

Like most home insurance providers, we don't cover loss or damage to your home or contents due to a lack of maintenance, wear and tear, or any damage that happens gradually over time.

Is my property covered for flooding?

Is my property covered for subsidence?
Your property is covered in the event of subsidence during the term of the insurance. Please see your policy documents in Your Account for more details on the cover limits and terms.  

If the property has previously experienced subsidence or if you have an ongoing subsidence claim with another insurer, we are unable to provide an insurance policy for you.
